L3 Magazine dishes on Kes The Band, Tia Mowry, Tyra Myricks and More!

Canada’s leading Caribbean-Urban online publication, L3 Magazine, has just released their December edition which sees the team connect fans and readers with Trinidad & Tobago’s Groovy Soca Monarch Kes The Band, Jam Master Jay’s daughter Tyra Myricks and urban actress extraordinaire, Tia Mowry!

Interviewed in Toronto, Kes The Band talks about what it is to be a multi-genre band, the success of “Wotless” and how success has and has not changed them, as well as ways they express their spiritual side which comes out in their music.  Kes also shares reaction to skin discrimination and how that discrimination was used to grow the band and have it reach the heights its reached!

Quick Tease!  Which UK group and American group bears musical inspiration on Kes?!  We have the answers!

Tyra Myricks is one of America’s fastest rising fashion designers.  Her fashion line, Flight, is one of the most highly watched lines because of her use of colour, and her willingness to step outside of the box and take risks with her designs.

Being the daughter of Rap Icon and Legend Jam Master Jay does not guarantee the opening of doors for her, and that’s exactly how she wants it.  Her work speaks for her talent!  She also happens to be the stylist for Kanye West and others.  Find out what makes her do what she does best!

Our newest writer, Jefferey Lewis a.k.a. Jazzy Baby is one of the most celebrated writers in the Urban community.  Having written for Thisis50, Global Grind and All Hip Hop (only to name a few), Jazzy has earned the trust of the who’s who in the industry.  His first installment is a sit down with actress Tia Mowry.

In this one on one, the actress opens up about life during and after pregnancy as well as her entrance into the ‘reality’ era via her show Tia and Tamera on the Style Network as well as the new season of the hit BET show ‘The Game’ and how she puts elements of her personality in her characters!

Rounding out our folds is Heike Wollenweber who continues to bring articles related to women’s issues.  For her latest installment, Heike looks at Miami’s Lotus House and offers ways in which you can get involved in this precious project.  Ayeola George shares news about Cameron Pierre from the French West Indies and Chuck Taylor from the Cayman Island shares his personal thoughts on the passing of Heavy D.  We also spoke to friends of Heavy D who share their thoughts on the passing of the musical great.  We also travel around the world to Japan to catch up with Unity Cross Fire, Japan’s top rated sound who got there via Florida and Atlanta.

Londyn Nikole, L3’s Beauty Editor gives us some great looks for Christmas parties, and Edward Bishop, or Intern, gives us great Fashion selections to compliment our beauty-fied look!

Additional highlights in the December edition of L3 Magazine include Allie Mason’s Alternative Beat, Toronto’s up and coming songstress Kaysha Lee who sings “Happy Holidays,” S’Voyce from the US Virgin Islands, Remixes from Champion Squad and Kalibandulu Sound, as well as the super HOTTT new Audacity Riddim featuring Spragga Benz and more!

This month we give the gents some eye candy by way of Karla Laureen who was selected by Nikki Rich Models to be Miss. December!   Our top 20 Music Downloads and more await you at www.L3Magazine.com
