♠ HOTTT New Reggae! ♠ Sizzla ft. Half Pint, Jimmy Riley & Fanton Mojah - Selassie is the King!

Greetings!

Sizzla, alongside Half Pint, Jimmy Riley and Fanton Mojah have decided to close out the year 2010 and open 2011 with a proclomation:  'Selassie is the King!'

Performed to a sweet one drop riddim, each artists contribution repeats the message that Rastafarian's around the world knows, which becomes the song's punchline.

When we hear this song, we're reminded how far Jamaica has come, and thwe world for that matter, in term's of accepting Rasta's.  In the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's, Rasta's were hunted, tortured and killed because of their choice to wear dreadlocks.  Many of them had to hide in the hills to avoid cruelty perpetrated by those who didn't understand their faith.  Celebrating their faith openly was forbidden, much less recording a chune like this!

Today, not only are Rasta's respected, there are some who wear dreadlocks as a fashion statement which promotes Rastafari visually!

Broadcasting at 320kbps, and 89 BPM, catch Sizzla, Half Pint, Jimmy Riley and Fanton Mojah on this beautiful chune "Selassie is the King" by clicking the song title above the picture.  As always, share your feedback so we can pass it on!
